JANUARY 16, 2017

Hello, and welcome to our InvenTeam's first blog of the new year! We have made lots of behind-the-scenes progress in 2016, researching, planning and fundraising. Here are some highlights of this past year:

Highlights of 2016

  • Visits to the local Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department Station 11
  • Attending the Houston Mini Maker Faire
  • Visit from Liza Goldstein

In December, we were privileged with a visit from Ms. Liza Goldstein, who evaluated our progress and provided helpful insight on what we could do to improve our team and our project. She also asked about issues we hadn't thought of before, such as "would your invention fit masks of different sizes, shapes or models?" and "are wiper blades the most effective and creative way to remove condensation?"

These questions prompted us to develop a new idea for a machine that will remove heat from the air to prevent the condensation before it occurs (more details soon). Furthermore, Ms. Goldstein encouraged us to start buying parts and constructing a prototype!

Goals for January

Our main goal for the rest of this month is to have built a full-scale prototype model.
