This month we met with two new mentors to help us with patenting and our preparations for EurekaFest. The first mentor we met with was Marc Coq from IBM who is a master inventor and patent expert. We met with him to talk about how we could start preparing to get a patent and he showed us some good websites we could use to research and also familiarized us with some terminology that would be used in getting a patent.

The next mentor was Mr. Warfield from the Greenbrier High School InvenTeam in West Virginia, we met with him to prepare for EurekaFest since he had been to two prior. We got lots of good information on how to prepare an appealing and captivating booth.

We then started to brainstorm our plan for our booth design. We decided to go with a 10x10x10 square truss system to act as a sort of frame for our booth. Right now we are trying to think up some ways to make our booth stand out from others instead of just having a normal presentation booth. Overall this month was slow in design development. It was good in terms of being able to learn more about Eureka Fest and the other components of this project.
