The Journey Continues

Greetings!

Last week, the Bayonne High School InvenTeam visited Cambridge, Massachusetts for this year’s EurekaFest. Overall, it was an incredible experience and we learned more about how we can advance our product.

Throughout the duration of the trip, we visited the MIT Museum, listened to Lemelson-MIT’s Student Prize Winners, and spoke to inspiring speakers. The whole team was left in awe over the life-changing products and inventions we heard about.

We had the opportunity to interact with other InvenTeams from across the country. It was a great opportunity to meet people from other regions in the U.S. and learn about their inventions and how it impacts their communities.

The Bayonne High School InvenTeam would like to extend its most gracious thanks to the Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam Program for granting us this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Moreover, we would like to thank our sponsors and community at home for the constant support.

Even though EurekaFest is over, our journey still continues. When we arrived home in New Jersey, our team sprung into action, creating a new model for our product. HAV Technologies emerged through the Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam Initiative and will continue in its mission to help our local community, raising awareness of the effects of water pollution, and reaffirming the Newark Bay’s biodiversity.

Until next time,
The Bayonne High School InvenTeam
