e3 Civic High InvenTeam January Blog

Happy New Year to all! We are so excited for what 2024 has in store for all of the Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams! Our team has been working nonstop to prepare for EurekaFest. This month we had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Rachel Thibault, our InvenTeam Education Fellow, for the first time. We received amazing feedback on our material and we are so excited to proceed with this partnership.

Recently we have been working on spreading our name and networking with local businesses and organizations. Members JoAnna and Shania attended a tech fundraising event where they met many technology leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs from across the US and shared Guard D-rinks™ story. Although it has been a while since they have used their networking skills, JoAnna and Shania were very eager to get back into the swing of things.

After so much hard work, every one needs a well earned break and what better way to do that than decorating gingerbread houses! Shania, Shessly, and JoAnna participated in the annual e3 Civic High Senior Gingerbread House Decorating Contest. They spent over an hour decorating their house which they named the Elves Lounge! Although there were great houses across the board, our girls won the competition this year for their creativity!

We can not wait for what this year has in store for us and we are so glad that you all are able to witness our journey. Happy New Year!
