Meeting # 22 - Presentation Preparation 🗣

Some exciting updates from the tech department…

THE LINEAR ACTUATOR WORKS AND IS SUPER COOL!!! 😎 

IR sensors, ultrasonic sensors, Arduino, and motors have also been added to the device :D

The team checked in and shared with everyone the results from Saturday's competition Invention Convention State competition that Jacob competed in. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it to nationals, but it was still a great experience! ٩(^ᗜ^ )و ´-

Also, Balfour contacted us, and we will be presenting at Balfour on June 5th! Alice, Amy, and Jacob will be presenting about the invention at the senior center. The team will be creating a separate slideshow for this presentation.

Meeting #23 - Marketing Material Making 📚

I hope everyone got a chance to catch the aurora! It's like Earth decided to throw a cosmic light show just for us. Seriously, how amazing is our planet? Here's a picture taken by a friend of our team in case you missed it:

Exciting times are ahead for our team as we finalize our marketing materials, including our brand-new stickers and brochures! Alice and Amy have been meticulously working on the designs to ensure they perfectly represent our team. 

After evaluating several printing locations, the team has also narrowed down a few top contenders, and Alice has already placed an order for the stickers, which will be arriving soon. We can't wait to see how they turn out in person!

Our team was unable to finalize all of the materials during this meeting (although all of the materials are done), so Amy and Alice will be doing that outside of the meetings. Best of luck to the two of them!

On a side note, Suhani will be wrapping up the electronic aspect of the small model soon, too! 

Meeting # 24 - Patent Pursuit 📝

Both presentations, for Eurekafest and Balfour, are done! ✓

(they look awesome btw 😄) 

The team has also been preparing to submit their provisional patent application. Suhani has been working with Ms. Orich to file the provisional patent application.

Meeting #25 - Finalizing Final Features

6/1/24 (🤫 we’re going to pretend this is in May)

The team got together for a quick meeting to practice the presentation and go over traveling logistics. 

AP exams are over, school is almost done, and the team is super excited to go to Boston! MIT, here we come! ✈️
