Problem Statement:
Amherst Regional High School is addressing more efficient ways for search and rescue (SAR) personnel to locate people who are lost or injured in disasters, as well as improve the safety of SAR personnel themselves. The survival rate of a lost person decreases over time, so it is important that they are found as quickly as possible. During this school year, the InvenTeam will explore technological solutions that can aid in discovering lost people without being distractions to the search and rescue personnel who are often in extremely hazardous, stressful, and unpredictable situations.
