Lemelson-MIT Program is recruiting excited adults (aka Invention Guardians) to serve as virtual judges & technical advisors of students across the nation who are immersed in the Invention Education Movement!

We have opportunities for you to judge at our Invention Conventions, held virtually. It is not a heavy lift -- judges are asked to attend a 2 hour training course and are given a week to give asynchronous feedback on your students.  All meetings are virtual so you can judge from anywhere, anytime!

Register for a virtual  judge training session!

Our Invention Conventions are a great way for K-12 students to learn the power of invention education by becoming real inventors and showing off their ideas!

  • Massachusetts Invention Convention: Tues 3/22, 4pmEST  or  Wed 3/23, 6pmEST

  • California Invention Convention: Thurs 3/24, 4pmPST  or  Mon 3/28, 7pmPST

  • ******************************************************************************

  • Judging is virtual so you can judge from anywhere. You can judge more than once!

  • The conventions offer an opportunity for students to create and present their inventive solutions to solve problems that really matter to them.

  • Inventing combines math, verbal and spatial skills that a child will develop and use for a lifetime. It’s an amazing application of STEM education.

  • Children have a chance to advance to participate in the Statewide Conventions, with a possibility of reaching National or Global competition levels

  • Best of all, inventing is JUST PLAIN FUN for everyone!
