Vision Augmentation
Bio-tech

The vision augmentation device was specially created for an InvenTeam student, whose low vision prohibited him from seeing things closely, and would cause him to get dangerously close to power tools when working on other projects. Initial research included testing and dismantling video cameras to study optics. Coupling the Jordy, a video camera created by NASA, with five LEDs yielded the best depth perception. Further improvements acknowledged by the InvenTeam included enabling for even better depth perception and a larger-field view.
