Aquatic, autonomous remote monitoring system to measure ecological variables
Energy and Environment

• The goal of the aquatic, autonomous remote monitoring system (AARMoS) is to create an affordable, efficient, and portable solution to assessing the ecological impact of industrial and automotive waste on inland lakes. • The device features a boat equipped with a winch diver that can lower divers 100 feet or more to collect samples from the lake. • The mission control software — which collects the data from samples and tracks the latitude, longitude, and the speed of the boat — enables the user to control with the AARMos from a laptop.
