Elkins High School InvenTeam

The Elkins High School InvenTeam invented an automated active 3D glasses washer, WASH3D, for use in movie theaters, school laboratories and other facilities that provide glasses for the general public. The 3d glasses washer will alleviate the need for employees to manually clean the glasses. The washer removes bacteria and sanitizes the glasses through a conveyor belt system in less than one minute. There are many benefits to WASH3D especially in movie theaters. CO2[subscript for the 2] emissions are reduced since the glasses will not have to be shipped for cleaning. WASH3D allows movie viewers to watch the movie without concern for the potential injury the glasses may cause if not cleaned properly.
