• Dubbed robotterfly, the robotic butterfly’s wings and legs are powered by servo motors — small, powerful motors that are often used in robotic applications. • In spring 2008 the students were invited to give a presentation on the invention at the Witte Museum in San Antonio, Texas. • The InvenTeam plans to incorporate the robotterfly in an interactive museum exhibit, which will mimic the behaviors and habitat of butterflies.
