What Are We Doing During Quarantine?

SPANISH RIVER LEMELSON-MIT INVENTEAM WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TO?  These past few weeks have been difficult for all of us. However, before all of this came into place, our team was really pushing our idea out into the world when our invention was featured to Congressman Ted Deutch, and published in various news sources such as The Sun Sentinel. During our Mid-Grant Technical Review back in February, our team also demonstrated how each part of our team collaborated to make our invention succesful.

WHAT ARE WE DOING DURING QUARANTINE? During this difficult time, our team, apart from staying quarantined, has been having meetings through online platforms like Zoom to discuss our next few steps. We have diverted some of our efforts to help each other and the local community. For example, we have been tracking the numbers of COVID-19 cases in our county. One of our school's clubs has also started a movement called "Coronacan't" which we hope to form part of soon. This movement emphasizes staying healthy, both physically and mentally, during these difficult times.

UPCOMING EVENTS Although many of us are upset at the cancellation of EurakeFest this year, we have been working hard during this time of quarantine to make sure our product meets our expectations. Each of our teams is planning what to do in their corresponding areas during this time, and we just hope to keep going.                                                                                                                                                         Be the solution, not the problem. Stay home!
