The anticipation grew amongst our SOAR High School InvenTeam as our advisor announced that we received a $7,500 grant from the Lemelson-MIT Program to produce a device that supports the well-being of students with ADHD. Since then, our research committee has made an effort to improve our idea through collaborative research. We have sought information from experts in the field of psychology, neuroscience, and education to acquire a deeper understanding of ADHD. Our research team has discovered that people with ADHD tend to have different experiences during school and in the classroom. All in all, we have been building upon our knowledge base.

In addition to the grant, our endeavoring team has been awarded a $20,000 donation from the Antelope Valley Union High School District Board of Trustees for travel costs. We have $15,000 more to fundraise to meet our goal of bringing all 27 team members to Cambridge in June 2023.

We are excited and grateful for the opportunity to support students with ADHD and aid their well-being.
