We reached our Goal - Donor Choose was a real success! Thank you to all our Donors!! We set up a Donor Choose account for the team to raise $5,400 for the trip to EurekaFest in order to cover the cost of 8 students and one chaperone. Donor Choose offered matching donations for up to $100 per donation and Current Invents was able to reach their goal. It was overwhelming to see the donations raising and getting closer to our goal everyday. A big thank you to all our Donors and for making this project a plausible and exciting endeavour.

Getting Ready for the Mid-Year Grant Technical Review

Each team member has been assigned roles and stations to work on for the Mid-Year Grant Technical Review. They had to complete their slides in order to be ready for the run through. The Mid-Year Grant Technical Review will take place on Tuesday February 24th, from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm at High Tech High. We have invited over 30 people, as well as having contacted the Media (utililzing our press release) and professionals in the field. During this community event, we will talk about the progress we have made to date with our invention.

Testing the Fence

On the technical side, Phillip and Anders have been collecting data and coding. Anders set up the fence as they started the general testing. During the testing they experienced some issues with the GSM shield that prevented them from reading the data, so they decided to take it off.

St. Valentine's Day Fundraiser

Zoe and Sharon organized a Valentine's Day fundraiser selling made to order waffles and homemade cookies. The whole team participated in the fundraiser by selling the waffles and cookies. We were able to raise more than $200! Another amazing team effort.

Still Under Shock

Andrew and Greta finished the shock box and it looks marvelous. They even embossed the team logo using the laser cutter. What a great job!
