Meet Dr. Hayes!

Here at Kealakehe High School, we have an amazing teacher named Dr. Hayes, who earned his PHD in Inorganic Chemistry, and came to Hawai’i originally from Canada with the Teach for America program. He is a walking warehouse of knowledge, especially when it comes to chemistry and spectroscopy. In fact, he had created web seminars that provided incredibly in-depth explanations on spectroscopy. After all of us had finished watching his seminars, he gave us a brief rundown of the process, with schematics and drawings explaining how we could go about detecting alcohol levels with the technology. All in all, another fantastic day of InvenTeams!
