May update from the GasBusters!
Hey you all! It’s your favorite, the Gasbusters, here again, and we hope everyone’s spring breaks were as fantastic as ours! As we gear up for the end of the school year and the excitement of EurekaFest, we’ve been diving deep into preparation mode, balancing hard work with plenty of fun and smiles along the way. The progress we’ve made recently has been nothing short of amazing, and it’s all thanks to the incredible support we’ve received from our community!
This month has been a whirlwind, but we’ve made sure to stay focused on two significant fronts: building our prototype and spreading the word about our mission. Our team has been putting in hours of meticulous work to bring our invention to life, and we’re thrilled with our progress. Shout out to our fantastic build team for their dedication and quick progress! But that’s not all - we’ve also been on some secret side quests that we can’t wait to share with you all! We are buzzing with anticipation and can’t wait to reveal these exciting milestones soon. Stay tuned for some significant updates!
On the communication front, we’ve been working tirelessly to raise awareness about our project and connect with like-minded individuals who share our passion for making a positive impact. From reaching out to potential partners to ramping up our social media presence (check out our Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok), we’re leaving no stone unturned in spreading the word.
In addition to preparing for EurekaFest, we've been laser-focused on raising funds to support our project's growth and development. We're incredibly grateful for everyone who has contributed to our GoFundMe campaign and helped us get one step closer to our goals. Every donation, no matter how big or small, has made a meaningful impact on our journey. We are grateful to be almost one-third complete with our goal and hope to hit it before June (fingers crossed!).
On the technical side, our build team has been nothing short of incredible. They've been working tirelessly, sourcing and purchasing new materials and fine-tuning every aspect of our prototype to ensure it's ready for the spotlight at EurekaFest. From experimenting with different components to optimizing our design for maximum efficiency, they've gone above and beyond to bring our vision to life. We're incredibly proud of their dedication and skill. We are also extremely grateful to our engineering teacher, Mr. Butler, for being there every step of the way!
Meanwhile, our mentorship sessions have been invaluable. Meeting regularly with experienced invention fellows has provided valuable insights, guidance, and feedback, helping us refine our project and prepare for the challenges and opportunities ahead. Their wisdom and expertise have been instrumental in shaping our approach and ensuring that we're on the right track. We are so grateful to Ms. Lee for setting up these meetings and working her best to get us the help we need!
As we continue on this journey, we're grateful for the support and enthusiasm we've received. Together, we're making a real difference in the fight against climate change and paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future.
So, who do you call when you find methane all around? The Gasbusters!
