This February, we’ve been extremely busy, and we’re very excited to share what we have accomplished!

Earlier in the month, our financial team was hard at work logging all of our expenses and finalizing our business plan. Our mechanical and research teams met with several structural engineers to learn more about current practices, the engineer's experience on the topic of snow loads, building codes, and measuring snow accurately. Later, we found out that our school board approved our trip to D.C. and we could start fundraising. Once we found out, we were able to go through with our fundraising plans such as starting a Go Fund Me page.

Knowing that our mid-grant technical review was coming up, we vigorously checked that everything was ready to go for the special event. From catering to room layout everyone focused on trying to make our MGTR perfect. Our technical and software teams were hard at work trying to build a presentable prototype for our MGTR. Lastly, we all practiced making our presentation perfect. We videotaped ourselves presenting and reviewed the videos meticulously, giving each constructive criticism.

In the end, it was a success! We had a great time and enjoyed receiving valuable input on our current progress and ideas. The turnout of our event impressed us and we were very happy to see everyone who came. We had our principle, superintendent, our state representative, several structural engineers, and many more supporters join us on this great event! The Bilerica Minuteman also joined us, writing a wonderful article (which you can find here: https://billerica.wickedlocal.com/news/20200224/billerica-memorial-high-schools-inventeam-members-only-team-in-state-to-receive-mit-funding ). Looking forward to EurekaFest, we know some changes that we have to make, and we’re currently planning for travel as well as other important factors.
