Happy spring from Cold Spring Harbor!! We are super excited for warmer weather because now we can test our prototype in a typical tick environment!! Over the winter, tick activity has decreased due to the cold weather. As we enter spring break, the CSH invenTeam members have been busy with research and outside activities. We have been experimenting with different chemical combinations for more attractant testing, are trying to place another order of ticks from an Oklahoma Tick lab, and testing a Citric acid CO2 generator. A majority of our team is part of our High school Robotics club Team 2875. In the past couple of weeks, they have competed at 2 regionals and more recently qualified for World championships at Houston, Texas.  As a result, we've had to work in smaller groups to get our testing done.

We also held a meeting to discuss plans for EurekaFest!! In the picture below Milan is seen sketching out our setup to present our research.
