First Demonstration

We went to the Coppell High School Special Education Classroom and presented our first demonstration of Gateways 2 to Ms. Higgins. We received some outstanding feedback to help us determine our objectives for version 2.1 of Gateways.

Our new targets for version 2.1 include building a control display for Ms. Higgins, interactive on screen stimuli for the students, and providing the recorded interaction time and response time of each of the students to Ms. Higgins. We are also looking into including a myDAQ and an onboard computer to Gateways' hardware. Furthermore, we have purchased a stepper motor so we can now work towards rotating Gateways' display screen automatically.

With all the progress we have made so far, Disruptive Innovation is on track to finishing Gateways 2.1 in January. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holidays!
