This white paper is an exploration of computer science in high school invention projects, written and prepared by staff members at the Lemelson-MIT Program, the Lynch School of Education at Boston College, and CSforALL. Specifically, the piece presents findings from an initial study that examines computer science (CS) education and the learning of CS principles and practices within the context of teachers’ and students’ participation in the 2018-2019 Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams grant initiative.
