STEAM Inspiration: Bee an Inventor with Crayola Education
Crayola Education will host a Facebook Live STEAM event with award-winning STEM teacher and Lemelson-MIT Master Teacher Doug Scott, Lemelson-MIT Invention Education Officer, Leigh Estabrooks, and DC Comics Illustrator Rick Keene!
During the session we'll learn how to encourage children (especially ages 6-8) to think like inventors and solve real-world problems. We'll explore the role leafcutter bees play in our environment and use design thinking to create a new bee house prototype.
We'll also hear from a student artist and problem solver for tips on what teachers and parents can do to ignite an interest in STEAM in students, particularly young girls.
