Ignite the spark of invention and entrepreneurship in your students
Through Massachusetts Invention Convention, in collaboration with the Lemelson-MIT Program, you can introduce your students to a world in which they will solve their own problems and gain the confidence and 21st-century skills to invent their own future. The program is a celebration of K-12 inventors and entrepreneurs from across Massachusetts, that provides a vehicle for youth inventors and entrepreneurs from grades K-12 to display their critical thinking skills through inventing, innovating, and entrepreneurial activities. The STEM + Invention + Entrepreneurship (STEMIE) experiential learning program offers:
- Hands-on, real-world, project-based learning activities
- Free curriculum
- Professional development workshops
- Exciting events at school, state and national levels
Invention Convention is easy to implement, flexible enough to meet diverse student needs, adaptable to a broad range of disciplines, and accessible to virtually any young learner. As participants in the Massachusetts Invention Convention, in collaboration with the Lemelson-MIT Program, your students will join more than 100,000 K-12 inventors from across the U.S. and around the world who compete to showcase their inventions at their state Invention Conventions. Several winners from Massachusetts Invention Convention will go on to compete in the Invention Convention U.S. Nationals. In 2021, the Massachusetts Invention Convention and the U.S Nationals will be online events.
To participate, please sign up on our registration site. Independent students can also register without being part of a school group.
