Proper grain storage is a key component of ensuring grain can be preserved and to feed millions globally. Large grain silos are used to store surplus grain supplies and allow farmers to hold their yield for higher prices.

However, a significant portion of our grain is not suitable for consumption due to poor management and adverse conditions. Many of these grain storage facilities are not safe for farmers, with cases of farmers being trapped, auger entanglement, and long term lung damage not uncommon.

Benjamin and Zane invented the Grain Weevil; a device intended to perform grain extraction and management related tasks too dangerous for farmers. The Grain Weevil burrows itself in and out of the grain supply to make sure it is properly aerated and ready for extraction.
