40% of food waste in the US ends up in landfills. Allowing this much food waste takes up land, contaminates drinking water, and releases greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere.

The BioEnergy project takes thousands of pounds of food waste from local restaurants and composts it into liquid fertilizer which can be used to grow produce. It's simple design can be scaled from smaller models for single family use, to industrial size for restaurants and supermarkets.
