Flashlight batteries usually die when you need them most. If a flashlight's batteries die in the dark, it can be highly difficult to replace them in that moment.

Nicolette and Lauren were inspired to address this issue when they were given a school assignment for their engineering class where they were tasked with creating an invention which helps their local police department. Because there wasn't a way to easily replace batteries during a late night shift, Nicolette and Lauren invented Battery Swap. Their solution was to invent a flashlight with two sets of batteries with a switch that can swap the batteries in one second.
