The national high school debate topic for the 2024-2025 school year is:

Resolved: The United States federal government should significantly strengthen its protection of domestic intellectual property (IP) rights in copyrights, patents, and/or trademarks.

Get ready for your debate with a mentor!

Deep dive into arguments for/against strengthening the US intellectual property protection

This is an exciting opportunity for teams to get direct access to I.P. attorneys, patent agents, and others who will be able to help them prepare their arguments. Teams will be connected with a mentor with whom they will schedule a time to meet virtually and receive one hour of individualized coaching and Q&A. The mentor will listen to your argument and provide suggestions and input, including: helping your team prepare, providing feedback on arguments, presentation style, answering substantive questions, talking about legal careers, or other subjects important to your team.
