The Horizon Science Academy Cleveland High School InvenTeam invented a device to lift a kayak from the ground onto a roof carrier on top of a car. The device is powered by a standard 12 V car outlet which lifts the kayak onto the roof rack in under 30 seconds. The only human power required is to strap the hoist lines onto the kayak which are secured with Velcro. This invention makes it possible for people who cannot lift their kayak to continue participating in an activity they enjoy.
