Your Students Can be inventors!
Seamlessly incorporate STEAM into your current curriculum with Lemelson-MIT coaching and support. Partners in Invention Education (PiE) is a membership program for K-14 educators and administrators that focuses on increasing the number of inventors and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds by building strong pathways to invention.
Curricula for Invention
Lemelson-MIT curricula support hands-on learning and teaches students the role invention plays in making everyday products. Students engage in the invention process: they identify and research problems, brainstorm solutions, design their ideas, and build prototype inventions, learning to iterate along the way.
Research validates the impact of Invention Education
Continuous research activities at the Lemeleson-MIT program ensure the quality and sustainability of our programmatic efforts. Our research covers topics that delve into cutting-edge education practices and provides critical insights into the impact of Invention Education on student learning, engagement, and self-perceptions.
