Printing a Prototype

To continue the design process of The Dalmatian, a tool to increase safety for firefighters through preventing the kinking of their hose, and enabling a continuous flow of water, we have recently 3D printed a prototype of our product. We were very pleased with the results of this scaled-down version of the device, which was produced with ABS plastic. Although the product completed the task of preventing kinking, through testing the prototype, we learned that we would need to attach handles to open The Dalmatian. Along with this, we are planning to add a device to keep the hose secure to The Dalmatian. We are excited to continue in this design process, and see the evolution of our product.
