Site visit Identification of walk out planting site

A group of us went out to visit the Northeatern University Marine lab in Nahant, MA.

We visited with Dr. Randall Hughes who showed us her lab and test pools. After the meeting, we went out to the beach to assess the area we will use as a "walk out" planting site.  This site has been chosen as one of our test planting sites upon the recommendation of Dr. Hughes. The eel grass loss here has been significant in the past 2 years, and we hope to reverse the trend.  Unlike our deep water planting, this area will test the viability of the system in a shallower biome.  As we emplace our disks, we will take measurements of exact locations so that we can verify any movement due to tidal surge.  Sadly, it was too windy to get good aerial footage ( the Drone flew sideways and was nearly lost ) and too shallow for decent underwater video footage.   We will have video in our next update.
