January 21st 2020:
Our team has made tremendous progress on the Emperor Micro Lander. This month we have had many achievements as well as failures, our biggest accomplishment was testing our invention in the pool. On Friday January 17th, we traveled to Mason High School and tested our current prototype. There we learnt that all aspects of our system work. Our plan is to go back to the pool before we head to Key Largo to continue to improve the performance of the Emperor Micro Lander.

This month we also started our second round of fundraising for travelling to EurekaFest in June. Both our Administrative team and Engineering team  have been working hard to fundraise and improve our invention.

Our team has raised a total of $12,000 in the last 3 months  to travel to Key Largo. While we are in Key Largo we plan to participate in a Marine Lab and get video of our prototype in the Ocean. We also plan to use our prototype for gathering video and information of the Aquatic life in the Ocean.

Our team was also recognized by the 16th District State Senator and Senate Majority Leader, Mike Shirkey. Below is a photo of the certificate we received.

Earlier this month we had an interview with our local news station, News 10. When they interviewed us they discussed all aspects of our invention and even how our team operates as a whole.  Below is the attached video of our interview.
