Salma Bouzit
My name is Salma Bouzit. I am a rising junior at MIT pursuing a double major in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (6-4) as well as Business Analytics (15-2). I’m passionate about creating innovative, real-world solutions at the intersection of AI and human cognition. I’ve explored these interests through a UROP in the Vision Perception and Attention Lab at CSAIL, where I conducted computerized vision experiments with participants and analyzed collected data, as well as a programming internship through MISTI, where I processed multispectral and hyperspectral satellite images to support agricultural analysis. Through the Lemelson-MIT Program, I’m excited to contribute to efforts that address educational challenges and expand access to STEM through more engaging and inclusive approaches, while continuing to grow as a researcher.
