Elizabeth (Ellie) Montemayor

MIT Department of Brain & Cognitive Sciences

Ellie is an undergraduate student studying computational cognitive science and writing at MIT. Her academic and professional interests vary from musical acoustics and psychophysics to writing and psychology. She is interested in understanding social dynamics from a cognitive science lens and hopes to fold her experience in community service into the work she does as a researcher, with an overarching aspiration to extend this knowledge into facilitating community improvement and growth. Her personal goal is to "know a thing or two" about any and all topics there are to know about. Outside of school, Ellie loves to write: fiction and personal essays are where she currently resides, but her writing background stems from her work in student journalism. She is also an avid amateur photographer, a guitarist-in-training, and a wannabe sabre fencer.
