LMIT has been working in Massachusetts for years, building community and an invention education ecosystem. The take-up of IvE is progressing, particularly at the high school level has been progressing steadily. Work has expanded in and out of the regular school day in Cambridge, and to high schools in Watertown and Haverhill. The elementary pathway has been developed at New Covenant School and we look forward to restarting programming at Fletcher Maynard Academy in Cambridge. The RIDE Center at Westfield State is offering invention education professional development workshops to expand take up in western Massachusetts. Berlin High School plans to launch IvE alongside existing programs and courses at the school. Their goal is to have IvE become a recognizable part of science education and the overall academic program.
