The short month of February demonstrated our team’s perseverance and determination through the planning and facilitation of the Mid-Grant Technical Review (MGTR). Our personal passions aligned with different subgroups that played a role in the preparation of the MGTR.

Three subgroups worked together to make our great day possible. Our design and tech team showed their creativity and passion for our device through circuits, fabrics, soldering, reverse engineering, and 3D design. Our patent team used their research skills, attention to detail, and impeccable patience to secure our PATENT PENDING status! Further, we had our MGTR Display team who focused on the showcase elements and the creation of a welcoming display table.

One of the most notable features of our showcase table was the significance of the color orange as it represents ADHD awareness. In addition, we handmade gifts for each member of the other Southern California teams. Unfortunately, the weather prevented our team from having the opportunity to present in person. With mudslides and the only freeway completely blocked with accidents and snow, we had to pivot and adapt by presenting in our classroom instead. Yet, our team's uplifting spirits (and plenty of Starburst!) provided an enjoyable experience!

We would like to thank our three amazing presenters who represented our mission with passion and impeccable finesse! We would also like to commend a member of the MGTR Display team, Maria S., who made a beautiful poster showcasing the importance of steady breathing. We can’t wait to share our work with the invention community at EurekaFest in June!
