Mid-Tech and Lemelson-MIT Review

Endotherm has been extremely busy preparing for both the Mid-Grant and Lemelson-MIT Technical Review. Both reviews turned out to be a great success, with much positive feedback  from the community. In our Mid-Grant Technical review, people from all over Iowa — including the Project Lead The Way Board, professors and leaders from the University of Iowa, and associates from engineering firms attended our presentation. Additionally, many people approached us to volunteer as mentors. Questions from the audience helped the team drastically. All feedback has motivated the team even more.

During the Lemelson-MIT Technical Review, Mark Westlake, our Lemelson-MIT coach, provided great advice and tips concerning the progress and current status with our invention. He made a great point by stating that we have too many features to handle all at once, and that it would be more beneficial to conquer one concept and move on. Thanks to his advice, we are going to focus less on the heart rate feature, and focus more on the proximity and beacon feature, which makes our product unique.
