Sorry for the Cold Shoulder...

Today is the 1st of May, and Incline High School welcomes you back to our blog. Sorry for the late update, but we have been cooking up some demonstrations and presentations to prepare for EurekaFest! The main demonstration that we have been practicing had a major test last week, and we are thrilled to share that it went perfectly. Here are some photos of us preparing for the demo and soldering our tech so our sensors can be connected. The final photo is our house without paneling, which we added soon after. We were so lucky to have our financial leader, Ellie, take over creative management of the house, too, making sure it looked great.

Three photos of the Incline High School Engineering Team creating a demonstration model of a home.

All of our most vital information was gathered through an important interview with Brandt Kennedy, a structural engineer with over 19 years of experience in the field. Our house was built to a true 1/3 scale model, so the information from Mr. Kennedy was still applicable to our home. These tests and this information were incredibly useful, and our model turned out fantastic.

Our next Grant Review is May 20th and we are hoping to invite specific engineers who focus on structural and architectural engineering to get more advice and ideas for our final presentation.
