Hello all! Our team has some very exciting news to share. On Monday, March 11th, 2024, our team was awarded a Provisional Patent License! This means we can now formally state that our invention is "patent pending". We are so proud of this momentous occasion and of all of our hard work so far. We've poured our hearts into this project and to see this reward is unforgettable.

This month we had the honor to meet with Joanne Sessler, the Vice President of Product at Nixon. Nixon is a California-based watch and accessories brand. We had an amazing talk with her about the design of our watch and she gave us so much feedback. We have begun incorporating the feedback she has given us into the look and feel of our watch like adding vegan leather straps with a buckle to our watch. Our meeting with Ms. Sessler has truly motivated us and opened our eyes to the business potential our product has. Our team has also been invited to tour their California office at the end of April! We also met with a group of experts in Arduino and they were able to assist Shania in our tech piece. We had a one on one session with their team where Shania was assisted with the tech and JoAnna was taught the basics of soldering. 

In March, Shessly, Shania, Desiree and JoAnna also presented at the Pendry Hotel! We gave our MGTR presentation to their associates. We received so many compliments and feedback on our solution and some weren't even aware at how prevalent drink spiking was so it was truly a learning moment for many. We were very excited to present to these professionals because we were able to practice for EurekaFest. We are very excited for what's to come and cannot wait to update you all!
