Sam Situ is a program assistant for the Lemelson-MIT Program where he supports the invention education team. He has served in this role since February of 2020. Before joining the Lemelson-MIT staff, Sam previously held a position as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps and he was a librarian aide for the Boston Public Library. Sam graduated with an associate’s degree from Bunker Hill Community College.

What inspires you?
Comradery from a team, it doesn’t matter what you’re doing as long as you
enjoy the people around you as you’re doing it.

If you could invent anything, what would it be?
My most desired invention would be a teleportation device; imagine all the time you could save
on commuting!
