Carolyn Blais joined the Lemelson-MIT Program in 2019 as the communications coordinator after spending almost two years working in communications and development in the dean’s office in the School of Engineering at MIT. Prior to MIT, Carolyn lived in Los Angeles and worked for a performing arts organization and wrote for an art and literature magazine. She received a bachelor’s degree in English and theater at Providence College in Rhode Island.
What is your favorite invention of all time?
The pacemaker. It has saved and prolonged so many lives.
If you could invent anything, what would it be?
A cure for Alzheimer's Disease, which has affected some of my family members.
